The short version: this site is educational, I am not a financial advisor, some links earn me a commission, and investing can lose you money. The longer version is below, and it is worth two minutes.

I hold no financial qualification and I am not licensed to give investment advice in Switzerland or anywhere else. Everything on this site is education and my own experience, written for a general audience.
Nothing here is a personal recommendation. I do not know your income, your canton, your tax position, your family situation, your debts or your risk tolerance, and all of those change the right answer. What suits me may be wrong for you.
For anything that matters, and particularly for tax, pensions, insurance and inheritance, pay a qualified professional. Relative to the cost of getting it wrong, it is cheap.
Investing carries risk
You can lose money, including all of it
The value of investments goes down as well as up. You may get back less than you put in, and with some products you can lose the entire amount invested.
Past performance tells you nothing reliable about future returns. Any historical figure on this site describes what already happened, not what will happen.
Where I model future returns, for example a 7% long-run assumption, that is an illustration to show how compounding and fees behave. It is not a forecast and it is not a promise.
How I make money, and what that means
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you open and fund an account through one, the provider pays me a commission. It costs you nothing, and in several cases you get a better deal than going direct because a reader offer comes with it.
What I do about the obvious conflict:
- Commission never decides the ranking. The cheapest pillar 3a provider on my comparison page is one of the ones that pays me least.
- Affiliate relationships are disclosed on the page itself, not buried down here. Where there is no arrangement, the page says so rather than implying one.
- I link to plenty of providers who pay me nothing, and name them as the better option where they are.
- I tell you when you do not need the product at all.
- I do not monetise CFDs or commission-paying products sold as advice, including insurance-linked pillar 3a.

Accuracy and how I source figures
Every fee, rate and threshold on this site is taken from the provider’s own pricing page, fee schedule or key information document, or from an official source such as the ESTV. Never from another comparison site. Pages carry the date the figures were checked.
I still make mistakes, and providers change their pricing without announcing it. No warranty is given that everything here is accurate, complete or current, and you should confirm anything that matters before acting on it. If you find an error, tell me. I correct it and say what changed.
Independence
Nobody pays for coverage, position or a rating on this site. No provider sees an article before it goes live, and none has editorial approval. Where a provider supplies information directly, the page says so.
I am a stakeholder in Ynoves AG, the tax firm recommended on the tax pages. That relationship is disclosed on every page where they appear.

This site links to other websites. I do not control them and I am not responsible for their content, their accuracy, their pricing or how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end.
